K-Bible : Sometimes I think of Paul and Joseph.
What did Joseph do in prison?
He did the most important thing, fulfilling God's will.
If Joseph hadn't been in prison, history would have ended.
Israel couldn't have created a "great nation."
Israel couldn't have created the great nation chosen by God.
It can't be done in Israel.
It's impossible because space is limited.
He did the greatest thing.
What did Paul do in prison?
Did he just sit there complaining?
He spent that time writing down the Word, saying, "This is the time!"
and doing great things as a disciple, leaving behind the works of Jesus.
If he hadn't done this, we wouldn't have seen the history of the New Testament.
As we look at the Bible, after experiencing dramatic suffering,
God's public works took place.
The same was true with Daniel, Elijah, Ezekiel, and Jonah.
The Bible records all of God's deeds.
